BEGINNING A NEW WEEK........
MOSCOW WEST

And what that will involve is a LOT of youth this week....about 31 of them! The baptistry will be busy! That will be very exciting!

This morning about 7:00 a.m., I got up and started checking our e-mail. Didn't want to turn the light on so Wayne could sleep. Unbeknownst to me, he was up and took the picture! He is so sneaky!
We went to Haaga Ward today.....we have been attending other wards and branches and haven't been to Haaga for about 6 weeks! The sunrise at 9:30 a.m. was just gorgeous. It was frigidly cold though (is that a word!)......a minus 13 F. The VW Van would NOT start. We had to work out some other travel accommodations for some the temple missionaries.
The McOmber's are leaving this coming Friday to go home! We are all very sad about that. There are some health issues and Dr. Maddock, in Germany, had suggested they return home for medical care. We had a little going away dinner after church today for them. Here the cooks put the final touches on the food before we dig in......L to R....Pam Johnson, me (Vicki), and Ronda Groberg. It was a pretty fine meal even if I must say so.
THEN.....we were suppose to have FHE tonight. As it would happen, communication plays a major role in what happens around here. With 3 languages to deal with, sometimes things get misunderstood! That was the case on this. The Russians' (Zaretskij's) were suppose to prepare the lesson and refreshments. They indicated they understood. They didn't and so the only ones who showed up at the President's apartment were the American's! Go figure. So, instead, the was an impromptu Russian class held in the Family History Library on the first floor of the asuntola! We will try again for 2 weeks!
With the extra time I was able to put the final touches on my POTD 2009 BOOK!!! YEA!! I am so excited to have been able to do this POTD...and some times several pictures per day. I am set and ready (and have actually started) my POTD 2010!!! Thanks Becky for this great product. What a great daughter you are.....so talented, so creative! Maybe some day someone will want to actually look at this book! I hope they will enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed putting it together!
