Sisar Massinen and her daughter, Jenni bring us a gift!

It is Helsinki Mission week again here at the Temple. We were not sure if Sisar Massinen would be coming like she did last month. And here she was. And this time she had her daughter Jenni with her. Jenni was to receive her own endowment! I made a Helsinki Finland Temple cross stitch bookmark with her name on it. And then Sisar Massinen had a gift for us.....a book about Savonlinna! We LOVE Savonlinna. And love the little branch there. We visited there in July! Well, guess what? I made a bookmark for Sisar Massinen too. She is just so sweet.

Brief background on her. Wayne served in the Savonlinna Branch some 45 years ago. That, in fact, is where he learned to play We Thank Thee Oh God For A Prophet on the piano. There were 3 sisters who were very faithful and came every week with their children. Sisar Massinen was one of those sisters. She has remembered Wayne all of these years. We have loved getting acquainted with her and her husband and daughter. She husband is not a member but supports her in her church activity!
