WRAPPING UP FOR
LAUANTAI......
The temple was a little on the 'slow' side today because it is GRADUATION DAY here in Finland.....from ALL schools!! Everyone has been busy with family. However, our first session at 9:00 a.m. was full with our great Saints from Moscow West and other parts of Russia. It is so sad to see them go knowing that they will probably NOT be back again....I think I have said that a time or two haven't I? And will say it a couple of more times this summer as the other Russian groups come for their 'last time' here in Helsinki Finland Temple.
After the temple we had a little lunch and took a walk up to LIDL's for a few weekend groceries.....MAITO (milk), YOGURT, BACON, ICE CREAM....you know, the basics!! Then home for an afternoon nap (since we are senior missionaries and retired, we can do that!)
When we got up around 7:00 p.m. (can you believe that!!) we decided to get out a move around. Wayne, as the CAR CZAR, wanted the missionaries headed over to Mikkeli for church tomorrow to have clean windows. He washed them good for them to enjoy that 2 1/2 hour drive.
He really takes good care of the 2 mission cars.
He washed the Chrysler yesterday.
We heard the TEMPLE PHEASANT making his 'noise' and decided to see if we could 'find' him. He is a quick little dude. The picture above was the best we could do. Can you see him?
BUT.....we were able to get a couple of good shots of the 'evening sun' behind the temple...love those shots.
And Wayne caught me in the act of taking the pictures. What can I say!
And one more shot......
and being 'caught' again. Can you believe all of these pictures were taken about 8:45 p.m. We still have several more hours of daylight before a few hours of darkness!! Crazy, crazy, crazy!!
