WOAH.....
BIG CATCH-UP GOING ON HERE!!
So, Since I last wrote on Saturday afternoon, BECKY AND DAVID have arrived here in Finland. They hit the country running......no time for dilly-dallying around here!!
SATURDAY....
SO good to see them here....finally after all that planning!! They didn't even look like they had been flying for like 20 hours to get here!!
There have been so very many pictures taken so far, as you can well imagine, so it has been hard to limit the number of pictures I post here!!
SUNDAY.....
ABOVE and BELOW are two pictures that Becky took of our missionary tags and a missionary picture of Wayne from his 'younger' missionary days and today as a senior missionary. Just thought they were so cute and needed to be shared.
We went to the Haaga Ward on Sunday morning. The 'typical' shot of the temple background and we love to have!!
After church we gathered the 'girls' who are putting on a scrapbook event in Espoo on Tuesday afternoon and Becky will 'show up' for a GUEST appearance. They were so excited to finally see and meet Becky!! They are L to R: Becky, Linda, Outi and Heini.....they have worked so hard in putting this together!
After church we had a DINNER APPOINTMENT at the Voutilainen's home. They had stayed with Becky and David a few months ago when her sister passed away. She lived in Becky and David's Ward in Arizona!!
Nothing like a little Sunday afternoon catnap after a good meal!!
We came back to the asuntola and sat in the 'living room' and visited with the Michie's for a little bit. And a little 'catnap' was in order there too.....that jetlag will get you every time!
Time for a walk around the temple grounds.....wake up and smell the roses! And stay awake until the sun goes down and you can sleep!! OH WAIT......the sun won't go down until about midnight!!
MONDAY...
Off to TALLINN....
for the day.....with the Michie's and David and Becky.
The ferry road over is always a LONG one and so we pass the time playing a few games of HEARTS....
Wayne was on the 'hunt' for a sweater for himself! And he did. This cute gal actually MADE the sweater......and purchased from the famous SWEATER WALL!!
Becky noticed all of the great DOORS in Tallinn and starting taking pictures.....this is one of them.
ESTONIAN NATIONAL FLAGS....
This sweet little Russian lady came up to us as we were walking around......in her broken English and with an interpreter helping her, she asked where I bought my sweater. I told her 'somewhere' here at the sweater wall. She just lite right up and smiled and said 'I MADE YOUR SWEATER' that I had purchased back in December!! HOW SWEET!!! And she gave me a handmade pair of woolen socks.....
These are cute little folks we met from New York that were there on a CRUISE SHIP!

And as were leaving to go back to Helsinki, we noticed another Cruise Ship.....LOVE THE LOGO AND THE NAME OF THE SHIP!!!
SO......tired......end of a great day!!
