MONDAY......MUST BE P-DAY AGAIN!

And that means we are off to downtown Helsinki. We really enjoy going there on our day off. It is just a fun place to go to. Always something different going on down there. We were going to take the train today but the bus #248 came along first so we caught that.

This was "HERRING FESTIVAL WEEK" at the tori. I think every school class south of Lapland was there today too! Bless their little school hearts. It was fun to see so many little kids and big kids there.

We bought ourselves a jar of homemade 'garlic' pickles. There were actually quite good.

Found these turtles close by and decided it was a good photo op!

Then we found these great samplings of different fish along with the great 'famous' potatoes that everyone in Finland fixes so well.

We decided it was lunch time so why not.......salmon and potatoes! Can't get any better than that!
