'FROSTY'....

THE HELSINKI FINLAND TEMPLE SNOWMAN!

Once upon a time, long long ago. Well, actually is was Christmas Week, December 2009. Grandma and Grandpa Allgaier had visitors come see us here in the asuntola of the Helsinki Finland Temple Mission. The visitors' names were David, Alyssa, Emsley and Chelsea Victoria. Grandma and Grandpa were so excited to have them come. It had been a very, very long time since they had seen them. We had a lot of fun together.

While here CV (her nickname) wanted to build a snowman. And a snowman she did build. A very fine snowman!! The best in all of Finland!

Well, CV went back to Shanghai, China where she lives with her family, after Christmas. She missed seeing 'Frosty' every day. So grandma and grandpa sent pictures often so she could see how 'Frosty' was doing.

Because it just kept snowing and snowing and snowing, 'Frosty' just kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger!

One day, grandma and grandpa decided it was time for a 'snowcut' for 'Frosty'!! Even snowmen need a trim once in a while!

So grandpa 'waded' in the knee-deep snow to get to where 'Frosty' sits and watches everyone go by every day as they go up to the temple!

He started the 'snowcut' at the back and worked his way around to the front. That was easiest for him.

We could see the original 'Frosty' re-appearing again. How nice!! He was still under all of that fresh new snow!

And he even looked happy with his new 'snowcut'!

Oh yes.....we must undercover those cute little eyes and nose and mouth as well!

And let's make sure his arms are 'free' too so he can wave to everyone!

CV had written a sweet little 'note' and left with 'Frosty' so he wouldn't get lonely! Can you believe it was just like new....just as if CV had put it there this morning!

And grandpa wanted to make sure the 'base' of 'Frosty' was cleared away so the temple hare could come for a visit as well. We had already seen him once visiting with 'Frosty'.

Now you can't tell us that you don't see a SMILE on 'Frosty' s' face! Yes indeed. He is one happy snowman. Ready to make it through the winter and beyond!

P.S. Guess what? The temple hare came by for a brief visit as soon as we finished with the 'snowcut'!!
